Product Summary
 Career Planning

This unit includes a psychometric test (which is becoming more widely used by employers) that will give the young person information about their personality type and the tasks that are most likely to suit their work style. On completion of the test, the young person will be directed to a list of suggested professions, or they can create their own list.  The index of careers provided in this unit will help the student to compare various jobs and job profiles in the career options they short-listed. They can then print the results, analyse them and make an informed decision about their next steps.

When to complete this unit?

This unit can be completed as part of work experience preparation, when young people are choosing their placement options. Unit 1 can also be completed by young people in Year 11 that are about to choose further education and training options. It is also a great introduction to the programme for those that have been out of formal education for some time.

Learning Outcomes:

§ Get an insight into some of their personality traits and how these relate to different areas of work

§ Recognise the type of tasks that suit their learning/ working  style
