Best time to go to college
A lot of people go to college straight after school. Others wait a few years. What is going to be best for you?
Here are some things to think about:
Good reasons for going to college now

You know exactly what you want to do and you want to get started as fast as you can

You’re used to learning because you’ve just been at school

You want to be in a class with other people your own age

Financially it’s going to be easier now
Good reasons for going to college later

You’re not sure what kind of career you want

You’ve had enough of learning for a while

You want to earn some decent money first

You want to put off college until you know you can really commit to it and do well there

Some people never go to college! And for some people that’s the right thing. For instance, they might find it easier to develop their skills at work rather than at college.

Why not talk to a tutor if you want help deciding what would be best for you?
